Maximize the longevity of your bat house by adding a specially treated, galvanized metal roof. Metal roofs are recommended when installing a bat house on a post or pole, or if mounted on the side of a home or structure without eaves. Because the metal roof is raised 3/4" from the house, bats will likely roost under it, and bat urine will erode the metal over time if left untreated. Our treated metal roofs are chemically etched before applying a coat of primer and two coats of light-colored exterior paint.
